LION RESOURCES LTD is committed to carrying out further assessment of its tenements and shall at the earliest opportunity commence as a first-stage, copper ore processing. Copper ore has been chosen as it can be processed to direct shipping ore (DSO) within a short time frame. LION’s goal shall be to progress to Copper & Gold processing with full beneficiation of its ore reserves.
LION has the opportunity to carry out direct mining of ore on its own tenements and to mine ore as a joint venture partner for established small mining tenement holders in the region. The tenement region that LION has access to is the whole of that region known as Mukonshi and Kasempa which has a total land area of 160,000 square kilometers. Mukonshi has the largest Manganese deposit ever found In Zambia, and Kasempa which is commonly referred to as the New Copper Belt has large deposits of Copper/Gold.
LION holds in its own right all necessary Chiefdom Consents as granted to it by His Royal Highness David Musonda in November 2010 and His Royal Highness Senior Chief Kasemap in April 2012 to carry out all mining activities in their respective Chiefdoms. The Consents currently held by Lion are for Copper/Gold, Manganese Rare Earth Elements, Lead & Zinc.
